Hello once again from The Royal Opera,

I also had another class yesterday, Chef's Secrets, it was a demonstration class taught by the chef and translated in English! Wow! I seriously can not wait to make all of you this amazing food that I am learning about. The Chef made Scallops in an Orange Beurre Blanc Sauce with Sauteed Endive in Pastry Cones. Of course I shared with you the pic. As well as Prime Rib cooked in a salt dough (a bit more complicated than that) with Potato Rounds fried in oil, then again in butter with bacon lardons. Ooh la la with a Bernaise Sauce like none I have ever made. Everyone got plates of the dishes and wine which was quite delightful! I am a lightweight so of course I felt a bit tipsy:) I know I've said it before but Le Cordon Bleu is out of this world
Hard to believe I know but my sense of direction is getting a lot better, today I walked to a store to pick up a new SD memory card for my camera (long story) and decided I could find my way to The Royal Opera without backtracking . I found it and was very happy. Three people actually asked me for directions yesterday and I knew how to tell them where to go:)
I miss all of you very much and it is strange to be alone all the time, but I am having a great time and finding new adventures everyday.
Hate to tell you this but I just saw a little mouse walk up and grab a piece of lettuce off the floor. It reminded me of Ratatouille. Well Mouseatouille. Oh well I will be back.
Sending lots of love to all of you and hope you are all happy and healthy.
Also, I love that I have followers, it's so much fun for me to read your comments and know you are out there. Sign up to follow it's fun:)
Avec amour,
Laura
Quote for the day ....
"Be what you want the world to see"
Oh my gosh I don't know what happened to my writing, I hope you understood it. The words kept changing and translating. Sorry about that, I promise I have not been drinking;) And I am a very articulate person.. Sorry

Hi Laura! Miss you. I love reading your blogs. I'm living vicariously through you right now. You're going to have to cook for me next time I'm back in Cali. :) I'm glad you found the store you were looking for. Getting lost can be soo frustrating. I can't imagine how much more tough it would be in Paris....

Absolutely LOVE that little beauty! It may be recreated already by the time you get home! haha- just kidding. I wouldn't. Love you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour blog rocks!! That little beauty (desk) almost ruined your day but in the end made your day (funny how that works). Glad that you are having such a great time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day. I, on the other hand, was a nurse and maid to Bob and his broken leg. Let's see, what would I rather be doing? That's a hard one. The worst day in Paris is better than the best day at home. We had feet of snow today. Re: the desk, can't you use the "ings" to get that little beauty home?
ReplyDeleteOh, and if you want to recreate the desk, you may want to find the hardware while you are in Paris. Just a thought. Ours is not the same.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the comments, I have the best friends and family EVER and I mean that!!!! I knew the desk would be a hit and worth all of the freezing effort. And you are right Nancy there are no bad days in Paris:) Isn't Bob ready to walk yet????
And Lisa I will make you dinner anytime!!!
Love you all
PS so nice to hear from you Jason I thought you forgot aboout me!!! Now get back on "Word" lol
