Day 5 in Paris

Bonjour once again,
Sorry about missing the blog yesterday, I had a really long day and was to exhausted to venture out to find internet. It is 12 euro for an hour at the hotel and my success at Starbucks has not been good so as luck would have it I found my favorite spot Le Royal Opera!!!!! oh happy day!!!
So here is the news everyone.... I am in love, yes and you thought it would never happen. Well his name is Le Cordon Bleu. I love the way he looks, smells and tastes!!! What could be better? And we get along wonderfully. I get up early for him, write about him, take pictures constantly and dream about him. So in love that I am extending my stay in Paris until February 7th so that I can spend more time learning his secrets. I have taken 2 classes already Quiches and Tarts and today Winter Pastries where I made a beautiful Chocalate Ganache Cake and a Tart filled with Orange Cream. Simply delicious. You may be asking "what are you doing with all the delciousness??? well I am sharing with my new friends at the hotel. (they are very happy with me) I have signed up for 6 more classes.
I love Paris, I only wish I spoke French. I took 7 years of french and can't speak, what a shame. I think I will take classes when I get home.
So one quick story, (It feels so good to talk, even if it is to a computer! Ha)
Ok, so here's the story.... As I was leaving my class last night with my arms full with Quiche and Tart I decided to run into the Boulangerie to pick up my now favorite Baquette, then going into the market to pick up grapes and Beurre (butter). Then to head to my room and enjoy my snack and take a hot bath. Well, I was on the Metro heading back (taking very good care of my precious cargo) and this scary guy comes on board and starts speaking in French and screaming things and then reaches in his pocket. So ya, that was enough for me so I got up to get off at the next stop and wait for the next train to come. As when I was getting up to get off my beautiful baquette fell to the ground. I was so sad. I got off the metro, waited for the next train baquetteless!!! Beurre and no baquette.
So needless to say I had grapes for my snack and a piece of... if I can say... the best onion and bacon quiche EVER!
I have enclosed my favorite little spot Le Royal Opera and my delicious creations.
Bon Appetit

Thought for the day... Isnt't it funny when you're alone that your mind asks a question and then answers it????
