Day 56

Last night in Paris after I blogged:)
I needed a midnight snack:)

Bonjour from Paris,
I am back in Paris and had a great day! I met Vicki and Kelly for lunch at Le Relais de l'Entrecote. Please go if you are ever in Paris. It was such a great place. All they serve is salad, fries and steak and they bring seconds. Ya I know I need seconds like a hole in the head:) It was very french and very fun especially with great company and a bottle of wine:) Isn't this a nice way to start the day?

Vicki and I during lunch

I try and include the pictures my friends like and Vicki this one is for you. Thank you for all of your kindness and friendship. You absolutely made my stay in Paris memorable and one I will never forget. I can't wait to do the same for you in California:)

Having friends is one of life's greatest gifts and meeting new friends is so much fun. Kelly, thank you for the wonderful dinner I was invited to at your home and taking time out of your day to have lunch together. You are so a fun person and I really look forward to seeing you again.
Me and the Synagogue (I love them you know:)
After lunch I took the Metro to Marais, a cute little area in Paris. There is a Synagogue there I wanted to see. (It is not open to tour), then of course a bit of shopping, like I haven't done enough, but I don't need to bring Euros home:) and finally......
Helen and I reunite!!!!!

We were very excited to see each other!!! and look she didn't get lost:) We spent the rest of the day together, catching up. She had lots of questions and needed the inside scoop of some of my "new friends" We had a cappuccino that well....didn't taste like one...more like a triple espresso with foam. We tried to doctor it up with sugar but it didn't help mine too much, but we sure had some good energy:) We went and bought a couple more bottles of wine and some bread, as our friend Kate invited us over for dinner. Can you believe how much fun this day is?

Cheers!!!! from Kate's

Look at the nice dinner Kate made for us:)

Kate, this dinner was amazing. Thank you so much for inviting us over. I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and also getting together on my next visit to Europe. You and Greg are a cute couple:)
After dinner, around Midnight Helen and I got on the Metro and headed back to our respective places. We Skyped when we got back to make sure we were safe:) Happy to report we are:)

Tomorrow we are meeting in Montmartre and spending my last day together. Helen goes back to Australia on Friday. We are both feeling sad to go. Helen and I will continue Skyping and we will absolutely plan a trip together in the future. Just as soon as we make enough money for airfare and accommodations:) Let's get on it Helen:)

I don't remember if I mentioned that Lauren, Whitney, Landon, Jason(Lauren's boyfriend) and Danielle(Landon's girlfriend) all wrote me a bunch of notes and letters to open while I was on this trip. They included pictures, wrote nice things, funny things and they were really fun to open. I have a great family don't I? As sad as I am to leave, seeing my family (entire family not just my kids!) makes me happy:)

A card from Jason with a hand on it which read:

"High five!! Laura, Start your day off by high fiving this paper hand...I won't think you are silly. Hopefully this card brought a smile to your face! Live life to the fullest! Ps. Send us a pic of the high five! hahahaha, Jason"
So here I am, but I actually ended my day High Fiving the hand (it's difficult to see in the picture but it's there) and yes it did make me smile and we all know I am silly:) and that I do live life to the fullest....Is there any other way?
Love to you all and I will see you soon,
Laura, AKA, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and world traveller:)

You know me I love the doors:)

Thought for the day:
There are many paths to get to the same place, choose the one that is right for you...

  5. Hi Vicki,
Oh I am going to miss you as well and I think I will be back sooner than later.
Please try and make it out my way when you are back in the U.S. My home is open to you.
Take care and thank you so much for welcoming me with open arms.
And don't forget about someday planning a girls trip with Kelly and the others. That would be so fun. Nancy would love it as well.
Take care Vicki and I will continue to blog on...
    Love Laura

  6. Hey Jason,
I thought you would like the high five:) I really wanted to use the paper gun but didn't find an opportunity. If I would have had it in Venice I would have used it on the kissing bandit! haha
I will see you so soon and get yourself ready for some homecooked meals:)
I've missed you and so appreciate all of your cards and comments.
    Love,Laura
