Day 31

Hello Everyone,
Well last night I was up again, so I decided to sleep in. I woke up and just threw on my leggings, a top that was... just whatever.... with them and my cozy boots, quite an eyeful, to make matters even worse, no make up (not even lipstick) and my hair pulled back in a clip. Sorry everyone no picture of this sight!!!!  I was heading down to breakfast. I figured I would come back to my room, shower and get ready for the day. Yesterday I was the only one in the little 5 table, 10 seat breakfast room so I proceeded down to find the room packed with people all dressed and ready to start their day, there was 1 seat empty. Ha Ha Ha!!! So I went in had my breakfast and you know what? It didn't matter a bit,  it was just my perception that it mattered. It was good for me. So I enjoyed my breakfast, went back to my room and got ready. What a nice way to start my day....who knew?
I was on a mission to see the rest of the sights left on my audio guide. So I was off to The San Matteo Complex, what a treat that was. It didn't look like much from the outside, but there was a museum and Church that were both quite incredible. Dating back to 1027. I had a little photo shoot at the museum, being that I was the only one there... I have realized that I am my own friend on this trip:) I laugh at myself, I take pictures of myself, I am a pretty fun friend...lol The museum had so much artwork, sculptures and artifacts. Not much protected from the people coming in....well there was no one there. But I'm sure in the summer it is packed. It seemed so vulnerable in such a pure way. Did you notice my new trench coat? I thought I needed it! The sun was shinning brightly when I went out this morning, but as I left the complex it was raining. No umbrella, no hat so I headed back to retrieve some warmth.
Just when I thought 43 degrees was a heat wave, it's starts raining and turns freezing again. Another good reason to pick a hotel near the city center. Live and learn my friends, live and learn. So I get my North Face puffer coat and my gloves and I set out again...This time to find Church San Francisco. Well the good news is I found it, the bad news is I couldn't get in. Do Church's close? Well I did get a picture and I did listen to my audio guide. It sure looks closed doesn't it? As always I persevere.
You know I always try to find positive in everything, death is the one thing that is hard to see any positive, except it should show us to live every moment and every day to the fullest and to be the best person we can be. OK... moving along. there sure are a ton of Churches everywhere in Europe, I haven't seen one Synagogue, but I am on the lookout and when I do you will see a picture.:) With my smiling face in front of it:)
The final sight on my audio guide is Plazza Cavalieri, that is where the University of Pisa is and my hotel is very close to it, I just hadn't found a good moment to take a picture until today. The Piazza is this big square and is really beautiful. Wouldn't it be something to say that you graduated from The University of Pisa? It is one of the busiest areas I have seen and there are lots of bikes and then out of no where a tiny car shoots through the middle of the square. Kind of like the game frogger.
I feel like I have really utilized my time in Pisa. I have seen everything on my list and more. I have had a great time here and think if you ever are in the area definitely stop by:) It's a must see in my book.
Time to start packing for my next adventure in Milano. "I think I'm turning It---alian, I think I'm turning It---alian I really think so...nah nah nah nah nah" (you know from the song I think I'm turning Japanese?) I tend to break into songs all the time:)
I will be writing to you tomorrow and can't wait!!! Have a great day.
                                                        Love, Laura

From my photo shoot:) at the museum

Thought for the day:

Carpe Diem:
Definition: Seize the day: enjoy the present as opposed to placing all hope in the future.

Quote that goes well:
"Don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself"
