Day 33 Milano

Can you believe it's day 33? I can't! My time is going by so quickly!!!
 Hello Everyone,
I am going to start off like this.... You are lucky (or rather we are all lucky) that I am not in "The Big House", "The Pokey", "Behind Bars", "In Deep S--t), why you might ask? Well... I got up like I normally do, got ready and headed to get a taxi to pick up my tickets for the viewing of "The Last Supper", I was so excited, I didn't realize until I got there that this was a really incredible thing to see. So they let in 25 people every 15 minutes and you have to book in advance. It's nice because it isn't at all crowded. Everyone is taking pictures outside and the mood is one of excitement. I have my Milano audio guide on and my ear phones securely in place. It's 10:15 and our group is ready to go in. So we are all walking in (doors open and close automatically) and bigger than life, seriously I had no idea how huge this al fresco was, actually it was a little different technique than fresco, but it's referred to as a fresco. Anyway I immediately get out my camera (flash off of course) and snap my photograph. I walk up to take a closer look, while listening to my audio guide. Then out of the corner of my eye I see signs everywhere that read " No Cameras, No Cell Phone Cameras, No Video" OMG, I was scared to death and tried to keep a low profile. I noticed there was no one with any photo technology at all in sight!!! So I just tried to blend in to the mere 25 people, listening to my audio guide just focusing on the beauty and amazing artistry of this work. Then out of nowhere this little old lady (quite mean looking) grabs my phone and is starring at the picture that is part of the audio guide, speaking Italian and I have an idea of what's she saying. She is thinking on my phone is a picture I took. Thank goodness it wasn't. I put the earphone by her ear so that she could hear what I was listening too and moved the screen to show her that it wasn't a picture I took. She stood there for a long time and I was thinking, thank goodness no one saw me take that picture. Well actually the picture I posted. Cool isn't it? But I felt really awful, because I would have never of taken it had I seen all those signs. Finally she walked away in a huff and my heart quit racing.
A little FYI The Last Supper took 4 years to complete and was started in 1494.

After all that excitement I decided to walk back to the city center and check out all those amazing stores I saw last night. All I can say is I could not live here. It's like the most amazing shopping experience of life. Lauren, get ready for another box!!!! BTW the sales are still on until March!!! Who Knew?
I met with my new friend for afternoon tea and then we went to dinner. It has been so nice having someone to hang out with and who knows Milan so well, not to mention speak Italian. He has most definitely made my time here really fun.
Another late night and I am tired so time to get some shut eye.
Goodnight everyone and Happy early Valentines Day!!!!
                                                                                  Love,
                                                                                             Laura

Thought for the day:
It seems eveyone is looking for perfection and the funny thing is nothing in life is perfect.
